DDW Young

Design is for everyone — and especially for the next generation.

With DDW Young, children, young people and schools dive into the most fun, interactive and surprising projects. Discover all forms of design, creativity and technological innovation, meet designers and get hands-on during Dutch Design Week 2026, from 17 to 25 October 2026.

From September onwards, we’ll once again be sharing routes specially developed for children, guided tours, and lesson materials, bringing design directly into the classroom.

The lessons are easy to use in the classroom and offer inspiring ways to connect education with current global challenges.

Lesson materials are available for various educational levels and age groups, with options for lessons with or without a visit to Dutch Design Week.

The lesson plans below were developed for Dutch Design Week 2025, but can still be used in the classroom. After the summer of 2026, new materials will be available on this website.
