Shaping the future of care

Innovation through collaboration

Anna Ouderenzorg and the Expertise Center Dementia & Technology (ECDT) work together on warm technology. We co-design with older adults, people with dementia, care professionals, and informal caregivers. For more autonomy, connection and peace of mind.

Innovation in care means thinking and acting differently

A smart idea. A new way of working. A technological solution that makes a real difference. Innovation in care means thinking differently, and daring to do things differently too.

At Anna Ouderenzorg and the Expertisecentrum Dementie & Technologie (ECDT), we work together on Warm Technology: solutions that support older people, without taking away control.

We co-design these solutions with older adults, people with dementia, care professionals, and informal caregivers. Together, we create everyday tools and environments that are safer, more enjoyable, and that foster autonomy, connection, and peace of mind.

This kind of technology contributes to a dignified life and enables care professionals to continue their work with purpose and joy.

At Dutch Design Week 2025, we’ll showcase what this collaboration brings.

Discover. Experience. Reflect with us.
We’d love to meet you.

How do you get people with dementia excited about technology? Join us to tackle this question during the workshop "Technology for People with Dementia? Yes!"

Monday, October 20, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM @Area51. Register at: https://ap.lc/RulYn

About Anna Ouderenzorg x ECDT-TU/e

Thinking and acting differently — that’s what innovation means at Anna Ouderenzorg. Together, we look for new solutions to enhance the autonomy and well-being of older adults, while also making our work easier. To add life to the days, rather than days to life.

The ECDT strives to contribute to a changing approach to dementia by developing ‘warm technology'. This means that we work together with people with dementia and their loved ones, guided by the principle: "Nothing about us, without us."
