JVD Studio creates innovative furniture that plays with form, materials, and perception. Their seating designs combine comfort with unexpected tactile experiences while minimizing waste through smart production techniques. The result is functional art pieces that engage both the eye and the senses.
Moos – Minimalism in Color and Comfort
Moos brings color, minimalism, and contemporary design together in a seating object unlike anything you’ve seen before. Made from polyester foam, it minimizes waste through the clever use of surplus material. Using 2D cutting techniques, it is shaped from a single block of foam with minimal loss, and thanks to its high density, it is self-supporting and comfortable. Moos can be finished in any desired color – from the sunny yellow of summer to the deep blue of the ocean – making it a playful, graphic, and functional element for any space.
Loop – The Haptic Experiment
Loop is an experimental furniture object that challenges expectations and invites touch. It combines two opposing qualities: hard enough to hold objects, yet soft enough to sit on comfortably. Handcrafted from wooden panels and woven Moosgummi round cord, it offers a tactile experience that encourages exploration. Loop investigates how shape, material, and perception influence our experience of an object, becoming a haptic experiment that merges comfort and functionality in a surprising way.
