Sculptural Vases between Brutalism and Poetry

The Red Landscape

PRASKLO exhibition BEYOND TIME — © A photograph from the last PRASKLO's exhibition

PRASKLO is an author's studio that moves on the border between object design and contemporary art. Each of our objects is unique - it is created by hand from recycled glass and concrete, as an expression of the tension between these two materials, between brutalism and fragility.

The Story of the Rock

PRASKLO is an author's studio that moves on the border between object design and contemporary art. Each of our objects is unique - it is created by hand from recycled glass and concrete, as an expression of the tension between these two materials, between brutalism and fragility, between the human gesture and the process of decay.
Our vases are not functional accessories - they are in themselves a statement about the beauty of imperfection, about transience and natural rawness. We approach them as a small architecture that lives in relation to light, space and silence. We draw inspiration from urban aesthetics, construction waste, cubist shapes and wabi-sabi philosophy.

About PRASKLO

Petra Švejdarová created her first vases from glass and concrete back in 2015. She introduced herself as Prasklo a year later at Czech Design Week 2016. In 2019, Prasklo was nominated for the best product at Prague Design Week. In 2019, Klára Vaculíková also joined the tandem, and together they began to build the PRASKLO brand as art objects with a deeper ideological framework. Since then, Prasklo has been gaining fans among the general public and professionals.
