Beyond the frame

From graphic language to tactile worlds, a collaborative design experience where 2D graphics transform into 3D objects and spaces.

Beyond the Frame is a collaborative installation by Studio Wantia, Studio Kars + Boom, and Studio Mirte. Blending 2D visuals with 3D experiences, it shows how color and form can shape spaces, emotions, and how we imagine the future.

Connection

The future is constantly changing and that calls for new ways to connect and collaborate. With Beyond the Frame, we explore how the power of color and form can shape spaces, influence how we feel, and spark new ways of living and imagining.

The installation blends 2D graphics with 3D experiences: images become objects, furniture, and textiles. Shapes and perspectives shift, inviting you to step into a playful environment where the future becomes tangible.
Together, our studios share a bold visual language rooted in color, form, and storytelling. At DDW 2025, we unite our practices in one installation that encourages you to pause, play, and explore.

And you can take a piece of this experience home. Our shop offers accessible and inclusive design pieces, from prints and accessories to textiles, carrying the same stories and emotions into everyday life.
