In a world where we’re always connected... we're slowly losing touch with each another... Muzus invites you to disconnect from your smartphone, connect in new ways and experience the freedom. Let's go offline and sparkle meaningful encounters. Free as a bird, ready to connect!
Hooked on smartphones: Time for a break?
Young people, parents, teachers, professionals: we all feel the impact of digital overload. From endless scrolling, always online and no time for real life. Are we hooked?
Resulting in burn-outs, distraction, mental health issues, sleep deprivation. That’s why we initiated Between Signals. A space where we explore, question, and confront ourselves about our smartphone behaviour. How do we feel without….. and how should we act with our smartphones?
As Muzus, we address this societal issue in various projects. In Between Signals we create a spaces for experience, reflection, and encounters —empowering individuals to regain control over their digital an real lives and reconnect with those around them.
Between Signals: Free as a bird
In a world where smartphones constantly distract us, we have created a space away from your phone. Here, you discover how it can feel to be offline. We are so accustomed to the constant interaction with our phones that it often happens automatically: we no longer look at each other, we stop talking, or we’re always "on."
In Between Signals, we slow down, see each other and allow space for meaningful encounters. Disconnect from your smartphone and experience the freedom. Rediscover connection by stepping away from digital distractions. Individuals and groups are welcome.
The power of collaboration
Muzus addresses this societal issue about smartphone addiction in our society in various projects. This project builds on last year’s pavilion ‘Meaningful Encounters’ and insights from the Muzus Summerschool 2025. Here 10 participants from business and education explored the topic using principles from social design.
