Clay and Climate Grief: Holding What We Cannot Fix

The climate and ecological crisis can feel overwhelming. In this workshop we'll translate our feelings into something tangible: a personal clay altar.

Clay and Climate Grief Workshop Setting

Through making, dialogue, and ritual, this social design workshop offers an intimate space to face the emotions of the climate and ecological crisis. Together, we shape clay into small altars that hold our grief, care, and hope, later fired and returned to you as a personal anchor for your feelings.

Shaping Climate Emotions Through Clay and Social Design

The climate and ecologial crisis often bring heavy emotions that are hard to express. In this workshop we slow down, reflect, and work with clay to shape small personal altars. These pieces give a place to hold grief, care, and hope.

You don’t need any experience, just an openness to explore. With roots in ecology, social design, and interaction design, the session helps you turn feelings into something tangible and meaningful. By working together, sharing thoughts, and creating in silence, you connect with both your inner self and others.

Each altar will be glazed and fired, then available for pickup afterwards: a physical piece to return to when you want to reconnect. (If you live further away, shipping options are available).

This workshop is a gentle way to explore climate emotions through speculative design, creativity, and community.
