The project In-dividual 2025 reflects identity as both divided and layered, singular yet multiple. It explores how climate and weather reveal the fluid, fragmented, and sometimes contradictory nature of human identity.
Weather shapes In-dividual.
Weather changes are familiar and natural, yet human beings remain vulnerable to them.
Climate shapes culture, technology, and design, while weather influences daily emotions and behaviors. During the long winters, observing how people responded differently to the same conditions revealed the fluid and contradictory nature of identity shaped by climate and weather.
In this installation, weather is captured through layered materials, triggering multiple sensory experiences. Visually expressed temperature and humidity are designed to evoke each visitor’s embodied ways of responding to weather. The work invites audiences not merely to be swayed by the environment but to reflect on how they might engage with weather more actively and consciously.
