Seminars and Guided tours
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, we host inspiring seminars followed by a guided tour of Living LAB 040. Each seminar has its own theme and offers new insights, practical examples, and opportunities for networking and discussion.
The three themes
Tuesday: Urban Village
Cities face a major densification challenge. High-rise buildings seem to be the norm, but is there another way? At Living LAB 040, we explored alternatives from societal, health and ecological perspectives. This led to Urban Village – an innovative housing concept that rethinks how we live and build together. Discover what it means for your work and how you can contribute to the first pilot.
Wednesday: Living Environment of Tomorrow
Spatial planning is becoming increasingly complex. Ambitions are growing, but how do you keep them alive in practice? And what role does the creative industry play in this process? Together with Fontys and creative partners, Living LAB 040 investigates how to create future-proof living environments. During this seminar, we share the first insights.
Thursday: Healthy Living Environment
City living doesn’t automatically equal a healthy environment. Urban densification often reduces green space and biodiversity, while heat stress and air pollution rise. Increasingly, homes are built in unhealthy locations. How can we make better choices and design for positive health – putting residents’ well-being first? Find out during this event
