Exploration and Artist Residency
Tommy Dawson, a student at Central Saint Martins in London, combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative technology. During his stay in Waalwijk, he explored how anatomically accurate footwear design can enhance comfort and accessibility for people of all ages and foot shapes. Inspired by both “five-finger shoes” and classic sneakers, he developed a model that gives the toes room to spread while remaining easy to put on and take off.
