The Design Innovation Sessions explore the major transitions we as a society are facing, and the role creative industries can play in driving them. Across five days, you will hear fresh perspectives from leading researchers and creative pioneers, discover bold projects tackling urgent challenges, and connect with others who are in design and innovation. As part of the Mission Days, this curated programme is designed for professionals who want to be inspired and exchange ideas on real change.

Transitions shaping our future

The Digital Futures session focuses on the question: how can we design technologies that center the needs of people and communities? In an era where attention is monetized and algorithms shape behavior, reclaiming (digital) agency is both urgent and possible. Together we will explore interventions that challenge the status quo and imagine alternative futures. This session will be a mix of current big design questions, cutting-edge research, and pioneering projects that offer new insights and deliver solutions that work. Expect a morning full of inspiration and practical takeaways, all wrapped up with a delicious networking lunch.

Among the speakers are Marcel Schouwenaar and Sindy Sumter, on their brand new project SpaceTeen, that aims to help young people navigate the digital space by exploring several creative, design based solutions.
