Daphna Laurens designed the Design Gate of Eindhoven for Eindhoven Design District.

A new entrance to the city of design.

At the end of October, the city of Eindhoven will be buzzing with design for nine days during the annual Dutch Design Week (October 18-26). Thursday, October 23rd, is therefore the perfect opportunity for the unveiling of the brand-new Design Gate, a new entrance to the city of design, designed by Eindhoven-based design studio Daphna Laurens. We cordially invite you to attend!

Eindhoven is overflowing with design power, yet this isn't always evident from the outside. The city lacked a warm welcome, an inspiring entrance that makes this visible and tangible in an accessible way for residents, newcomers, and tourists. That is precisely what Eindhoven-based design studio Daphna Laurens, commissioned by Eindhoven Design District, has been working hard on recently. The brand-new Design Gate forms a symbolic entrance to the city of design.

On Thursday, October 23rd at 7:00 PM, the Design Gate will be festively unveiled by designers Daphna Laurens, Alderman for Design District Robert Strijk, and King's Commissioner Ina Adema.
