Exploration
Theun Nouwens investigated forgotten decorative imitation techniques, inspired by centuries-old practices of mixing natural pigments with oil and egg tempera. He experimented with raw materials and handmade paints, reviving artisanal methods in a contemporary and personal way.

Creation
For his bachelor graduation project, he created a decorative object that served as both artwork and experimental test piece. By combining historical craftsmanship with modern expression, the work bridges tradition and innovation.
