On Touch

Revealing how the act of touching can transform space into experience

On Toch — © Babette Wiezorek

Join Jonathan Radetz and Babette Wiezorek to explore the emotional power of surfaces. Together, we’ll feel, examine, and reflect on how touch shapes the way we experience the world.

Workshop

Touch is one of our most powerful ways of experiencing the world. On Touch is a design-based research project exploring how surfaces shape our emotions and create what we might call “atmospheric” experiences.

At Kazerne, you’ll explore a collection of “tactile objects” that invite you to feel, examine, and even classify the emotional qualities of different surfaces. Can they calm us, energize us, or offer a sense of stability? Can texture help us anticipate a space before we truly enter it?

This session encourages you to slow down and notice how physical sensation and emotion are deeply connected. Stay for coffee, share your impressions, and leave with a renewed awareness of how the world’s surfaces quietly shape your experience.
