Manifestations Theme 2026: MUTE

In our digital society, algorithms, platforms, and systems increasingly determine which voices are visible and which ones disappear. Some ideas are amplified, while others quietly fade into the background.

The theme MUTE explores how technology influences what we hear, say, and share. Who gets a voice? Who gets drowned out? And when do we—consciously or unconsciously—hit mute?

About Manifestations, Art & Technology

Manifestations is the festival of art and technology that celebrates digital activism through fun, wonder and curiosity. A bit rebellious too, with an eye for the uncomfortable and the role of technology in a world that could be better and sweeter.
Thanks to a bold and futuristic focus on the consequences of innovation, the festival is one of the most edgy events during DDW, challenging visitors to look more critically at developments and discover new perspectives.
