FANTAS1A

Electronic Polyphony

FANTAS1A is an interactive sound-base object performance exhibition by Y2Y collective that is experimenting with the concept of an electronic choir through synthetic frequencies, custom electronic instruments, and speaker-based sculptures. Hosted at

FANTASY, FANTASTIC, <FANTAS1A>

At the core of art lies the admiration for a beauty so captivating it untethers the soul, inviting an astral encounter with the unreal. Presented by Y2Y collective, FANTAS1A is an interactive performance installation that investigates this transcendental boundary by exploring the mysticism of true beauty through its synthetic replication. The project experiments with the concept of an electronic choir of objects, staging a polyphony of wavelengths that layer and become a singular musical piece. Rather than relying on traditional instrumentation, FANTAS1A constructs a modern simulation made entirely of frequency, featuring custom electronic instruments, coded sound devices, and speaker-based sculptures that physically broadcast these invented landscapes. During live activations, operators manipulate autotune, computer-generated patterns, and polyphonic synthesis in real time to transform raw noise into a cohesive electronic choir. FANTAS1A uses modern digital craft and handmade hardware to build a contemporary sanctuary celebrating an intentionally synthetic aesthetic.
