EEN DAK BOVEN JE HOOFD

EEN DAK BOVEN JE HOOFD is a public installation about what ‘home’ means in a time of housing shortage.

EEN DAK BOVEN JE HOOFD is a collaboration with Foundation Springplank , design agency Yellowchess, and various designers who are creating five tables, each with its own roof.

What is home when having a place of your own is not a given?

The five rooftops transform an open terrace into small, personal spaces. Visitors experience how a place suddenly feels like ‘yours’ and are invited to reflect on questions about living, security, and ownership. This creates a personal conversation about an urgent societal issue: what is home when having a place of your own is not a given?

Different perspectives

EEN DAK BOVEN JE HOOFD is a public installation in which visitors take a seat under a roof. The five roofs display different perspectives on living, such as security, certainty, and the future. Conversation starters in the roofs invite reflection, without the need for explanation. Through a simple architectural gesture, the meaning of a roof becomes palpable, creating space for encounter and conversation about living.
