Accenture Industrial Design explores how technology can protect biodiversity. Using the Asian hornet as a real case, we combine smart traps, data, AI, ecological knowledge and citizen action to detect threats earlier and respond more precisely.

We explore how physical products, data, AI, citizen participation and ecological knowledge can work together as one protective ecosystem. At its centre is a smart hornet trap designed to target the invasive Asian hornet while minimising the impact on native insects.
