About Building TT
Building TT (Achtseweg Zuid 251, Strijp-T) has recently become the creative home of designers Dirk Duif, Tiddo Jordan Kirev, and Filip Pista. For Dutch Design Week, the building transforms into a dynamic exhibition space with multiple rooms, where a wide range of makers showcase their projects – from experimental research and installations to product and furniture design.
About Can it Hook
One of the exhibitions in Building TT is Can it Hook. For this show, the original round crane – still present from the building’s Philips era – is put back into use. This time, not for lifting materials, but for literally “hooking” and presenting the works of designers and artists.
The crane acts as a playful yet powerful stage that highlights the industrial history of the site. The exhibition brings together diverse disciplines: product and furniture design, art, and experimental work. Can it Hook demonstrates the many ways makers engage with space, context, and presentation.
