Onecht Ceramics is a collection of ceramic objects in which we are playingly looking for this what looks usable, but feels inconvenient. Thus we put its daily use in a different perspective.
Inconvenient or unusable?
The collection originated from a form study into oval-shaped objects. We explore the boundary between something being inconvenient and entirely unusable. We embrace discomfort and use it to create more awareness of the experience of eating or drinking. In our research, we kept going until a design became unusable.
All objects are handmade in Den Bosch (NL) and are individually numbered and documented, making each piece unique. In our presentation, we let visitors decide for themselves whether something feels inconvenient or unusable.
Onecht too
Alongside Onecht Ceramics, we are also presenting our products PINDAVAAS and ONECHT LAMP V1. PINDAVAAS is a 3D-printed vase based on a reused peanut butter jar, while ONECHT LAMP V1 is a standing lamp featuring a linear light source.
