A quilt made from old, memory-laden textiles tells and interweaves stories of experiences abroad and the ease of travelling. The narrative structure of these fading memories unfolds through various techniques such as the stitching of drawings, hidden objects, and fragments of postcards and photos.
About Manou Schatton
Manou Schatton is a contemporary artist and designer from Berlin. Recurring themes in her practice include photographic memories and nature-related elements. Most recently, her works have been characterized by an intensive engagement with textiles, particularly the technique of quilting.
