Plant-Dyed 100R Aluminium

Gradient Plant-Dyed Aluminium — © Charles Gateau

The Alice Stool combines the 100R recycled aluminium and plant-based dyes in vivid gradients and textured cotton. A world-first fusion of craft and technology, it celebrates circular design and redefines colour with a gentle touch of wonder.

The Alice Stool: recycled aluminium and plant-based colour in a playful, sculptural embrace.

Developed by Studio LoopLoop, The Alice Stool merges recycled 100R aluminium and plant-based colour in a flowing, skirt-like form crowned with soft, textured organic cotton. Through a unique computer-driven anodising process, aluminium transforms into a living surface where technology and nature meet in vibrant harmony. Conceived to awaken wonder, the stool turns sustainability into an experience of colour, tactility, and playful presence, redefining what circular design can feel like and offering a glimpse into a more imaginative future.

About Odin Visser
