Welcome to Minerva Art Academy’s presentation, showcasing three projects by our 2025 alumni. Our concept-driven, experimental programmes blur the lines between design and fine art — both are represented here.
Gijs Hennen
Designer/ artist Gijs Hennen creates large-scale installations by combining and orchestrating existing devices and machines. In doing so, he explores factory settings and industrial techniques, aiming to show that functionality can possess its own form of beauty.
In the work “ROTO P1”, he explored the technique of rotational molding. For this, he used an oven that swings hypnotically from left to right, containing a rotating mold. The result: unique, spherical light objects.
Gijs studied Product Design.
Isabela Gay & Magnus König
“Rabbit in the Attic” is a stop-motion animation in progress that explores the themes of death and belonging through meticulously crafted sets and puppets, following the journey of a rabbit who witnesses the death of a bird.
The project reaches across many different disciplines and materials, each aspect of the project demands specific attention.
Isabela and Magnus studied Fine Arts.
Viktoria Stefanova
Viktoria Stefanova is passionate about technology and innovation - yet drawn to the slow, authentic, and unfiltered life. She embraces paradoxes, finding beauty in their tension.
Her project, Lost in 2 Eras, reflects on how we romanticise the past - its slowness, simplicity, and perceived authenticity - while navigating an ever-changing, fast-paced digital world. It's not about choosing one over the other, but about how we blend them, consciously or not.
Through ironic examples, Lost in 2 Eras unpacks what it means to live in this contradiction. It celebrates the absurdity of our in-between existence and invites us to pause and reflect on our digital habits.
Viktoria studied Graphic & Interaction Design.
