Drumdock - Rethinking Drums

Play drums anywhere

Drumdock — © by OSA

An acoustic drum kit is often loud, bulky and difficult to transport. Drumdock offers a new approach, giving musicians the freedom to play drums anywhere. Space for music.

Origin

A traditional acoustic drum kit offers great musical freedom, but it is also large, loud and hard to carry. Other compact percussion instruments do not offer the same possibilities. From my own needs as a drummer and designer, a question emerged: can a full drum kit also be compact, portable and less loud?

Design

Drumdock is a new acoustic drum kit developed in response to this question. Different parts of the drum kit have been redesigned and brought together into one compact, modular instrument. The result is a drum kit that is easy to transport and quick to set up, without relying on electronics.

Freedom

With Drumdock, I want to give drummers more freedom. The instrument makes drumming possible in more places: from living rooms and parks to jam sessions, music lessons and small stages. It creates space for spontaneous musical encounters and allows drummers to naturally become part of the music in places where a traditional drum kit simply does not fit. Space for music.
