CANVAS turns the bed into a surface for colour. Hand-screenprinted colour studies by Studio RENS are translated into soft bed textiles for Auping. Close to the body, clear in the room.
Surface
A bed is never just a bed. It is the largest surface in the bedroom. For CANVAS, Studio RENS uses that surface for colour. What started as a series of hand-screenprinted colour studies becomes a bedding collection for Auping.
Colour studies
Layer by layer, colour is built by hand through movement, pressure and repetition. Small shifts, overlaps and imperfections remain visible, carrying traces of a physical process. Translated into textile, these works move from the studio into everyday life.
Made to be seen
CANVAS brings colour into the bedroom as atmosphere. Soft in use, rich in detail and present in the room. The collection brings together sleep and surface, comfort and colour, production and experiment. Designed for rest. Made to be seen.
