A Gathering is a collection of handmade porcelain objects inspired by living beings. Shown as a group of creature-like vessels, it explores how character and emotional attachment can help us value everyday objects.

Living objects

A Gathering is a collection of handmade porcelain objects inspired by living beings. The forms exist somewhere between character-like figures and functional objects, together forming a group with a distinct sense of presence.

The project explores the relationship between objects, materials, and value. Many products today are chosen based on price, function, or trends and are therefore easily replaced. As a result, the connection we have with the objects and materials around us can be lost.

A Gathering aims to strengthen this relationship by giving objects their own character and presence. They invite people to see them not only as functional objects, but as things with which a personal bond can develop. By encouraging emotional attachment, objects may be kept, cared for, and repaired for longer. In this way, the project focuses on revaluing material, craftsmanship, and everyday objects.
