Critters with me is a collection of new sculptural lights by Fenna Kosfeld that invite moments of movement, presence and touch. Expanding on her Dweller family, this new body of work explores Critters as sculptural lights.
Material Transformation
Continuing on her fascination with material transformation and the ability of matter to shape atmosphere and perception, she explores how oxidised metal gives the bodies an earthy, rustic and very organic character. Meanwhile, playing with cotton and silk for their different heads.
Collection
The collection consists of several unique pieces, including one large Rusty Dweller which moves/ dances when touched with kindness. It is accompanied by other Critters.
Critters resemble ecological creatures, transformed by their environment. They act as companions, presences that are humble yet giving.
About Fenna Kosfeld
Her practice investigates the atmospheric and emotional potential of light, matter and space within an ecological web. Kosfeld transforms materials and translates its poetry into collectible works.
