A sensory experience inviting you beneath the surface to experience water, soil, time and our place within nature differently.
A world in motion beneath your surface
What happens when we stop looking ahead and start looking deeper? YET UNDERNEATH THE SURFACE invites visitors to descend into a world that usually remains unseen. Through image, sound, scent and landscape, the installation shifts attention away from the human perspective and towards the rhythms of water, soil and other forms of life. At its heart is a documentary that offers no explanations, solutions or answers, but instead creates space to observe, experience and question our relationship with the living world around us.
Just a raw invitation to look differently — at water, soil, time, and our place within it. And when you emerge back into the light, one question awaits.
Co-production
Waterschap Limburg created the installation together with design studio Yellow Chess and production house De Schietkraam as an invitation to look differently at nature — and perhaps, in doing so, at ourselves as well.
