A style-customisation experience based on upcycling and sustainability.

During DDW26 at Burgers, a temporary space take place to share and invite people around a social and sustainable experimentation around up cycling.

A collection of clothes and objects made from discarded materials : an alternative storytelling.

Rebellion, Hope and Delicacy

Grounded in different mediums : hairstyling, clothes creation, sewing, daily-life objects, The Purple Show talks about issues : extractivism, mass production, ecological damages and genocides. Against that, our collective event adopt a positionnement against it, by creation, denunciation and by developing and alternative : a proof that it can be made differently.

The Purple Space

During Dutch Design Week 2026, Burgers transforms into a sustainable fashion center : a place where people can experiment with their appearance by getting a haircut, by a handmade original outfit, by watching the fashion shows or participating in the sustainable-fashion workshops organised during the week.

Programme

Throughout the week, Burgers is free to attend for everyone, here is a list of the activities :

- a haircut salon
- workshops to customise a T-shirt, design an outfit, learn about pattern making
- Two Fashion Shows (Tuesday 4.pm & Friday 5.pm)
- Clothes and Accessory shop with unique creations
- Chill spaces for drinks, food, hang out
- An handmade electric guitar, pan-Arabic colors
- Concerts, music and comedy events

Artists will be on-site during the week to show explain their work. Come visit us !

About Lele

Lele is a self taught fashion designer from Paris based in Eindhoven. For The Purple Show he turns discarded fabric into bold, colourful clothing that challenges gender and social norms. A rebellion against fast fashion, proving that clothes can be made by hand, with meaning and character.
