Meet the designers at Impact through Design — © Twycer

In the Impact through Design exhibition, you will experience what design means at Philips and discover that every good design starts with one question: what do people really need? Meet the designers and experience iconic Philips designs, from early classics to current innovations.

Meet the designer

Design is much more than colour, shape, and material; it's about creating a better experience for the people who use the product. That's why every design process at Philips starts with the question: what do people need? What are their needs? Reassurance, simplicity, self-expression, connection, support, performance...the list is endless and constantly changing.

Discover what design means at Philips and get a glimpse into the design process by talking to Philips designers in the “Meet the designers” program in the Impact through Design exhibition. Visit the Philips Museum website for an up-to-date program.

About

The Philips Museum is located in the heart of Eindhoven, where Gerard Philips produced his first light bulbs in 1891. The museum takes visitors on a tour of the company’s rich history. You get to see how Philips constantly reinvents itself and how its innovative technology plays an important role in social changes. First with electric light and later on with radio, television and the dawn of the digital age. Nowadays, Philips stands at the forefront of major innovations in the healthcare sector.
