Tomorrow isn’t just ahead, we’re already part of it. In the Brainport region, we are building the Library of the Future today: accessible, human, and inclusive. We look at how digital and real worlds meet, and the important role the library plays in this.
Co-Lab for real connection
Co-Lab is a pilot space by Eindhoven library, where young people explore new ways to meet and work together all year round. This links to research by Fontys student Amber van Houtum, who spoke to young people about their desire for real connection.
Magical Book Experience
Imagine this: you pick up a book and suddenly the story comes to life all around you. With pictures and sound, you step into another world. This happens in the Magical Book Experience, created by students from SintLucas. It’s more than just technology. It shows that imagination and technology together create new ways to read, learn, and experience stories.
Step into your next story
How do you find your next book? AI is changing how we search and what we find. Eight libraries in the Brainport region are working together on AI that is understandable, reliable, and matches values like accessibility and diversity. Here you can meet Boekbot and Biebbot. Boekbot helps you find the story that fits you in plain language, while Biebbot gives a glimpse of the future and guides you to the library’s workshops and activities.
