de-obsoletion

Reimagining what has been left behind

We are ep.he, we design and handcraft collectible objects with a curiosity for materials, textures, and the stories they hold. We like to reimagine what the world leaves behind. With this exhibition, we present two projects that question value, perception, and the lifespan of everyday objects.

De-obsoletion shelve

We live in a time when products are designed to become outdated.
This series asks: what if we could break that cycle?

De-obsoletion investigates how obsolete, mass-produced objects can be transformed into functional, durable, and valuable pieces. As planned obsolescence pushes consumer culture toward rapid consumption and waste, this project examines how to disrupt that cycle by creatively repurposing what has been discarded.

In this exhibition, we present a shelving system made from DVD racks that once held precious collections. Today, we’ve rebuilt them into a flexible, screwless system that adapts to the needs of its users.

Distorted

Distorted is a series that challenges perception through form. From a distance, it looks ordinary. But the closer you get, the more unusual and surprising it becomes. The design shifts depending on where you stand.
