Paradise is a temple-like work of art, a magical spot where everyone is welcome. A ‘charging station’ where you can connect with yourself. Here we sense each other and words are redundant.
Reactivate connection
Artist Marjolein van der Wal is on a journey beyond time and space. With her latest work, Paradise, she takes visitors to Manifestations on a journey through her process of awareness. Many of us have lost our connection with nature and with each other. How can we reactivate that connection?
Energetic “charging station”
Within the theme Happy End?, Paradise forms a cheerful counterpoint in a world dominated by technology, consumption and haste. Marjolein has created a temple-like space with a pyramid at its centre that functions as an energetic “charging station”.
Portal to greater consciousness
Marjolein draws her inspiration from creation myths and stories from different corners of the world. From the Bible to Greek mythology to the history of the lost city of Atlantis. She also refers to ancient symbolism such as sacred geometry, ancient rituals and mysticism, and megalithic structures. Marjolein: “Art reveals what otherwise remains invisible, opening pathways to greater consciousness. Paradise is like an antenna whose signals you pick up when you stand still and connect.”
