LUMIKA

An immersive light installation transforming space through color, reflection, and wonder.

Lumika is an immersive light installation where dichroic sculptures refract and project shifting patterns of color onto the walls and floor. In darkness, these luminous shapes fill the space, transforming it into a living landscape of reflection, movement, and quiet wonder.

Light as Matter

Lumika transforms light into a tangible, breathing presence. Within a darkened 16 m² room, dozens of suspended dichroic sculptures refract and project a shifting spectrum of color across every surface. The space becomes fluid—walls dissolve into gradients, floors ripple with reflections, and visitors find themselves surrounded by a living choreography of light. Each movement, even the slightest breath or step, subtly alters the play of hues around them, creating a constantly evolving dialogue between body, light, and space. Rather than being observed from a distance, Lumika invites immersion. The visitor steps inside an atmosphere where color is not seen but felt, where time softens and perception expands. Through this encounter, the intangible nature of light becomes material—something to experience with the entire body, awakening a sense of quiet awe and belonging.

Space of Wonder

At its core, Lumika is an invitation to pause. To stand in stillness and allow light to reach the senses without demand or explanation. In an increasingly digital and accelerated world, the installation proposes a return to presence through wonder—a state often lost in adulthood but essential to feeling alive. The room becomes a sanctuary where reflection and emotion intertwine; where technology, design, and spirituality meet in quiet collaboration. As the colored lights expand and merge, visitors experience subtle shifts in mood and awareness, echoing the emotional resonance of awe—an emotion known to soften self-focus and awaken connection to something larger. Lumika reminds us that beauty can be a form of healing; that by re-encountering wonder, we re-encounter ourselves. It is a luminous reminder that even in darkness, light always finds a way to reach us.
