Vilnius Academy of Arts presents a selection of graduation projects that explore familiar materials, traditions, and systems that are reimagined through contemporary making, technology, and experimentation. Flax waste reconnects material innovation with disappearing craft traditions, while willow weaving becomes a living design language through collaboration between designer and craftsman. Concrete becomes a tactile interface where touch transforms into sound and light. Childhood warnings are recast as official signs, questioning how folklore, fear, and authority shape our understanding of danger. The movement of tango becomes a rotating mirror, while digitally fabricated objects translate personal expression into a multisensory experience. The car, perceived as a masculine space of power and surveillance, quietly transforms a young woman’s body from something lived into something watched. Unique unique artistic identity is created through multiple design innovations that come together in one show.

Together, the works move between past and future, craft and technology, body and material, memory and imagination. They explore how knowledge, traditions and stories are carried and being held.
